INNISBROOK RESORT AND GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Palm Harbor, FL, USA
Designed by Larry Packard, Roger Packard

Island, one of four championship courses at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida, might be considered the quiet sibling among a family of accomplished layouts. Designed in the early 1970s, Island displays a Modern architectural style playing a deceptively challenging game.
Carved from the Florida landscape, Island presents a contrast to the more celebrated Copperhead course. The terrain is relatively flat, but the course is far from docile. Water hazards come into play on nearly every hole, demanding strategic thinking and accurate shot placement. Tight fairways and strategically placed bunkers punish errant drives, while subtle undulations on the greens test even the most seasoned putters. Island favors players who can control their ball flight and navigate the course's many challenges with precision.
While Island hasn't hosted the same high-profile tournaments as Copperhead, it has consistently provided a stern test for professionals and amateurs alike. It remains a popular course for those seeking a challenging yet rewarding round.
Reviews
Tighter fairways than the Copperhead. Definitely a sneaky 2nd almost 1st place course on the property. The number of eucalyptus trees and OB make the course more of a challenge for higher handicap golfers
A really silly layout that just isn’t much fun. Very easy to lose a ton of balls with how much trouble is around and how close it is to the fairway. Conditions are pretty good, just isn’t my favorite.
