Isabella- (PINTA/SANTA MARIA) at Isabella Golf Course

Isabella Golf Course, designed by Ed Ault, serves Hot Springs Village in central Arkansas as part of the community's extensive collection of golf facilities. The course operates as two distinct nine-hole layouts—Pinta and Santa Maria—that can be combined for an eighteen-hole round. Ault, a prolific architect who designed numerous courses across the South and Midwest during the latter decades of the twentieth century, created layouts throughout Hot Springs Village that take advantage of the region's rolling Ouachita Mountain terrain and natural pine forests.

The course plays through wooded corridors typical of the area, with elevation changes that add variety to the routing. Water features appear on several holes, and the tree-lined fairways require accuracy from the tee. Hot Springs Village developed as a resort and retirement community beginning in the 1970s, and its golf courses were central to that vision, providing recreational amenities for property owners and visitors. The Isabella nines reflect the community-oriented design philosophy common to residential developments of that era, offering playable golf for a range of skill levels while incorporating the natural landscape features.

The Pinta and Santa Maria combination provides a full round of golf within the Village's network of courses, which collectively offer varied playing experiences across different terrain. The setting remains characteristic of Arkansas hill country, with mature pines framing holes and the occasional vista opening to the surrounding woodlands.
