Huguenot/Buckingham at Salisbury Country Club

Salisbury Country Club's Huguenot and Buckingham courses are located in Midlothian, Virginia, a suburb southwest of Richmond in the state's Piedmont region. Designed by Ed Ault, these layouts reflect his regional approach to golf course architecture during the latter decades of the twentieth century. Ault, who designed numerous courses throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast, typically worked with rolling terrain and incorporated natural features into strategic designs accessible to a range of player abilities.

The Huguenot and Buckingham nines combine to form an eighteen-hole routing that moves through wooded Virginia landscape characteristic of the region. The property features the gentle elevation changes and mature tree cover typical of Piedmont golf courses, with fairways carved through corridors of hardwoods and pines. Water features and bunkers provide definition and challenge on several holes, while the routing takes advantage of the natural topography to create variety in hole lengths and shot requirements.
