HERITAGE EAGLE BEND GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Aurora, CO, USA
Designed by Arthur Hills

Heritage Eagle Bend occupies rolling terrain on the high plains east of Denver, designed by Arthur Hills and opened in the late 1990s. The course sits at approximately 5,700 feet elevation in Aurora, where the Front Range foothills transition to open prairie. Hills routed the layout across natural elevation changes and integrated several water features, creating a parkland-style design that contrasts with the surrounding semi-arid landscape. The property includes mature cottonwoods and introduced plantings that frame fairways and define playing corridors.
The design emphasizes strategic bunkering and water hazards that come into play on multiple holes, particularly on the inward nine. Hills incorporated wide landing areas off many tees but tightened approaches to greens with greenside protection. The putting surfaces feature moderate undulation, and several holes play across or alongside ponds and wetlands. Elevation changes throughout the round affect club selection and provide views toward the Rocky Mountains to the west.
Heritage Eagle Bend operates as a public facility and serves both local residents and visitors to the Denver metropolitan area. The course has hosted regional amateur competitions and remains a popular venue for daily-fee play in Colorado's northern Front Range corridor. The layout presents a test suitable for a range of skill levels while incorporating enough length and hazard placement to challenge accomplished players from the back tees.
Reviews
If they could make this course a little firmer and faster it could be awesome. Very green. Some good holes, just lacking a little bite.
Played at HEB multiple times over the years and have always enjoyed the course. I personally like the back 9 more than the front. It was built as part of a housing development so almost every hole is lined with houses. Pricing and pace are my issues with HEB or it would be ranked much higher on my list.
