Hampton Creek at Hampton Creek Golf Club

Hampton Creek Golf Club occupies rolling terrain in Ooltewah, a community southeast of Chattanooga in the Tennessee Valley. The course was designed by Ron Matthews working with Carter Morrish and Jay Morrish, the latter known for collaborations with Jack Nicklaus and for designs throughout the American Southwest and Southeast. The layout takes advantage of natural elevation changes characteristic of the region's foothills topography, incorporating wooded corridors and water features that come into play on multiple holes.

The routing moves through a mix of hardwood forests and open meadow areas, with fairways that follow the land's natural contours rather than imposing dramatic reshaping. Several holes play along or across Hampton Creek itself, which meanders through the property and provides both strategic interest and aesthetic definition.
