GREYWOLF GOLF CLUB
🇨🇦 Panorama, British Columbia, CA
Designed by Doug Carrick
Greywolf, carved into the rugged Purcell Mountains near Panorama, British Columbia, dares golfers to test their mettle against both its dramatic elevation changes and unforgiving natural hazards. Carved in the mid 90's, this modern course snakes through a landscape defined by towering pines, exposed rock faces, and the rushing waters of Toby Creek. Greywolf favors those who can strategize as much as swing, with many risk-reward opportunities presenting themselves from the elevated tees.
Designed by Canadian architect Doug Carrick, Greywolf is a product of the modern era, emphasizing visual drama and challenging shot values. The course is known for its signature hole, "Cliffhanger," a par-3 requiring a daunting carry over a deep chasm to a green perched precariously on a cliff edge. While it may not be a regular stop on any major professional tours, Greywolf has earned a reputation as a bucket-list destination for discerning golfers seeking a unique and unforgettable mountain golf experience.
Beyond the golf, the club cultivates a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere reflective of its mountain community. Known for its unpretentious hospitality, the clubhouse serves as a hub for both golfers and locals, drawn in by the stunning views and the hearty fare offered.
Greywolf is more than just a round of golf; it’s an immersion into the raw beauty and adventurous spirit of the Canadian Rockies.
Reviews
Greywolf is one of the best mountain courses in the world, I can't believe it isn't ranked higher in most Canada rankings. The course has some of the most exhilarating shots you will ever hit, including the famous par 3 6th. Greywolf includes everything I love about golf, the feeling of being secluded, great views, great conditioning, and the possibility of seeing wildlife! It's a must play in Canada.
