GRANITE LINKS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Quincy, MA, USA
Designed by John Sanford

Granite Links Golf Club sits atop the former Quincy Quarries in Quincy, Massachusetts, occupying a dramatic hillside site that overlooks Boston Harbor and the city skyline. Designer John Sanford routed the course across reclaimed granite quarry land in the mid-1990s, creating a layout that takes advantage of significant elevation changes and exposed rock faces left from the area's industrial past. The property's quarrying history dates back more than a century, and the transformation into a golf course represents one of the more distinctive land reclamation projects in New England golf.
The course plays across rolling, rocky terrain with considerable movement throughout the round. Fairways rise and fall along the hillside, and several holes feature dramatic drops from tee to fairway or green. The exposed granite outcroppings and ledges that remain from the quarrying operations give the property a rugged character uncommon in the region. Views of Boston Harbor, the downtown skyline, and the surrounding South Shore communities are visible from elevated points throughout the course.
Granite Links operates as a daily-fee facility and includes a second eighteen-hole course on the property. The club has become a popular venue for corporate and charity events in the Boston area, drawing players interested in the unusual setting and convenient access to the city. The clubhouse and practice facilities occupy the hilltop, taking advantage of the panoramic views that define the property's appeal.
