GRANDE VISTA GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Orlando, FL, USA
Designed by Ron Garl

Grande Vista at Grande Vista Golf Club, nestled in the heart of Orlando's Plaza De La Vida, provides a welcoming respite from the city’s theme park clamor, even if championship caliber play is not its defining characteristic. The course, dating back to the late 1990s, offers a modern parkland design characterized by generous fairways and strategically placed water hazards that reward strategic play rather than brute force.
While the original design team isn't celebrated among golf's pantheon, the course provides a pleasant day out, and is well maintained. It's a course where a well-struck fade can be your friend, given the gentle doglegs that shape several holes. Blind shots are mercifully few, making it a course that allows players to see what they’re up against.
Grande Vista, though not a stage for major championships, is known locally as a congenial spot for both vacationing golfers and a sizable retiree population from the nearby residences. And while no signature dish stands out, the 19th hole is known for its lively atmosphere and post-round camaraderie, especially on weekends.
