HARBOUR RIDGE YACHT & COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Palm City, FL, USA
Designed by Joe Lee

Golden Marsh is one of two eighteen-hole courses at Harbour Ridge Yacht & Country Club in Palm City, a community situated along the St. Lucie River in Florida's Treasure Coast region. Designed by Joe Lee and opened in the mid-1980s, the course reflects Lee's characteristic approach to Florida golf design, incorporating the area's natural wetlands and marshes into a layout that emphasizes strategic shot placement over pure length.
The course takes its name from the extensive marsh areas that border several holes and come into play throughout the round. Lee routed the layout to work with the property's flat terrain and native vegetation, creating a design where water hazards and waste areas define playing corridors and require careful club selection. The routing moves through stands of mature palms and live oaks, with the marshland providing both visual interest and strategic challenge on approach shots.
Harbour Ridge operates as a private yacht and country club, serving a residential community with access to both golf and marina facilities on the St. Lucie River. The Golden Marsh course complements the club's second layout, River Ridge, offering members variety in their regular play. The design remains largely true to Lee's original work, maintaining the strategic emphasis on accuracy that characterizes his portfolio of Florida courses from this era.
