GLENROSS GOLF CLUBS
🇺🇸 Delaware, OH, USA
Designed by Jack Kidwell
Glenross sits in Delaware, Ohio, a small city north of Columbus in the central part of the state. The course was designed by Jack Kidwell, an architect whose work appears primarily across Ohio and the Midwest during the latter decades of the twentieth century. Kidwell's designs typically emphasize playability for a range of skill levels while working within the natural terrain and vegetation of their sites.
The Delaware area features gently rolling farmland and wooded corridors typical of central Ohio, and courses in this region generally incorporate mature tree lines, modest elevation changes, and seasonal water features. Glenross likely reflects these characteristics, with holes routed through a mix of open and tree-lined fairways that require accuracy off the tee and thoughtful approach play into greens protected by bunkers and natural contours.
As a facility in a smaller Ohio city, Glenross serves both local members and daily-fee players, providing a straightforward golf experience without the tournament pedigree or national recognition of courses in larger metropolitan areas. The club offers a traditional Midwestern golf setting where the focus remains on the game itself and the company of fellow golfers, rather than elaborate amenities or high-profile events.
Reviews
Thought the course was slightly above average but not worth the price I paid for it. None of the holes were very memorable but atleast the course was in good shape. Highlight of the round was me sinking a 30 footer on 18 to win my match. The other highlight of the day was my boy breaking 90 for the first time but I’m not sure if it counts since it was a par 70
