THE LINKS AT GALLOWAY
🇺🇸 Memphis, TN, USA
Designed by Kevin Tucker

The Links at Galloway is a daily-fee facility in Memphis designed by Kevin Tucker, a regional architect whose work appears primarily across the Mid-South. The course occupies relatively flat terrain characteristic of the Memphis area, situated in the broader floodplain geography that defines much of western Tennessee. Tucker's routing works within these topographic constraints to create a straightforward layout accessible to public golfers.
The design reflects the practical considerations of municipal and daily-fee golf in the region: manageable length for average players, wide fairway corridors, and green complexes that balance challenge with playability. Water features and bunkers provide definition and strategic interest on several holes, though the overall character emphasizes playability over severe penalty. The flat landscape means elevation change is minimal, with most strategic variety coming from hazard placement and green contours rather than dramatic landforms.
Galloway serves Memphis's public golf market, offering an affordable option in a city with a mix of private clubs and accessible courses. The facility caters to a range of golfers, from beginners to regular players seeking convenient tee times and reasonable rates. Like many daily-fee courses in mid-sized Southern cities, it functions as both a neighborhood amenity and a destination for visitors seeking straightforward golf without the premium pricing of resort or championship venues.
Reviews
Relatively short, but very fun to play. Lots of scoring opportunities. Greens run slow, and they have had some issues with fungus killing off sections. Fairways are in good condition. No practice area.
