FURRY CREEK GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
🇨🇦 Furry Creek, British Columbia, CA
Designed by Robert Muir Graves

Furry Creek, carved into the dramatic Howe Sound coastline north of Vancouver, is as much about the staggering vistas as it is about golf. This post-modern design, routed through steep, forested hillsides, provides moments of both breathtaking beauty and demanding shotmaking. The elevation changes are a constant companion, demanding precise club selection and rewarding creativity. While not particularly notable on a national stage, Furry Creek offers a memorable experience for those who appreciate a thrilling, visually stunning layout.
Architect Robert Muir Graves sculpted Furry Creek in the early 1990s, and the course has since been renovated, tweaking the design to balance playability with its inherent challenges. The course plays relatively wide, but doglegs and elevation changes bring hazards into play and require accurate approach shots. Don't be surprised by blind shots, or the ball above or below your feet on approach.
Locals and visitors alike are drawn not only to the course but to the clubhouse's panoramic views. It has become a popular wedding destination in the area. The golf, while a serious test, often takes a backseat to the spectacular scenery, the area of Furry Creek and it's dramatic landscape, and the shared experience of navigating this memorable course.
