EN-JOIE GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Endicott, NY, USA
Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan, Ernie Smith, Jason Straka

En-Joie Golf Club sits in Endicott, New York, a small industrial town in the Southern Tier region near Binghamton. The course was originally designed by Ernie Smith and has undergone significant renovation work by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Jason Straka, who updated the layout while preserving its parkland character. The property occupies relatively flat terrain along the Susquehanna River valley, with mature tree-lined fairways and water features that come into play on several holes.
The course is best known as the longtime host of a professional tournament on what is now the Korn Ferry Tour, bringing competitive golf to the region each summer. This tournament history has kept the course in the public eye and ensured maintenance standards appropriate for professional play. The layout presents a straightforward test that rewards accuracy and course management rather than overwhelming length, with strategic bunkering and water hazards requiring thoughtful shot placement.
En-Joie operates as a public facility, making it accessible to visiting golfers throughout the season. The club's connection to the local community runs deep, as Endicott developed largely around IBM's presence in the mid-twentieth century, and the course has served as a recreational anchor for the area. The combination of professional tournament pedigree and public access gives En-Joie a distinctive place among courses in upstate New York.
Reviews
Play where legends of the game have teed it up. En-Joie is home to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open on the Champions Tour. Play it at the right time of year and you’ll be able to plays while grandstands are set for the tournament. Make sure to wear your hard hat as many holes run parallel to each other and the course gets plenty of public play with locals hacks spraying the ball all over. With that being said, En-Joie still offers a fun round at a beautiful course which is typically in great shape.
