Built upon the dreams of royalty and the ambition to create a golfing jewel in Southeast Asia, The Empire Golf & Country Club unfurls along the coastline of Jerudong, Brunei. This modern masterpiece, sculpted into the landscape with an almost theatrical flair, presents a unique challenge: a parkland layout perpetually wrestling with the humid, salty breath of the South China Sea. The course demands respect from tee to green, its generously wide fairways tempting players to unleash powerful drives, only to find themselves confronted by cunningly placed bunkers guarding tight approaches. Designed by the legendary Ronald Fream, with later enhancements by Vijay Singh, The Empire rewards strategic play over brute force.
