Von Hagge and Devlin formed one of the more prolific architectural partnerships working in Florida during the latter decades of the twentieth century, known for incorporating water features, mounding, and strategic bunkering into relatively flat terrain. Ankrom's involvement contributed additional design input to the collaboration.

The course navigates gently rolling topography unusual for coastal South Florida, with mature tree-lined fairways and water hazards that come into play on multiple holes.
