EISENHOWER GOLF COURSE
🇺🇸 Crownsville, MD, USA
Designed by Ed Ault
Eisenhower Golf Course, a 36-hole facility nestled near Annapolis, Maryland, carries the weight of presidential legacy, though its challenge is more approachable than the namesake's wartime decisions. The two courses, the Blue and the Gold, offer distinct experiences, but both are rooted in classic, mid-century parkland design.
Designed by renowned architect, Ed Ault, the courses were carefully sculpted through the rolling Maryland countryside. The Blue, often considered the sterner test, presents tighter fairways and demanding green complexes, favoring shot-makers with a penchant for controlled fades. The Gold, while more forgiving from the tee, requires deft touch around the greens, rewarding strategic play over brute power.
While not a regular host of major championships, Eisenhower has long been a popular destination for local and regional tournaments, reflecting its strong reputation within the Maryland golfing community. Eisenhower stands as a solid public course where locals enjoy the challenge, pace of play, and great conditions for a municipal. It is often a great value and highly thought of as a great place to play for the residents of Annapolis and surrounding communities.
Reviews
Solid course that didn’t treat me well, I blame wedding nerves. Don’t expect anything fantastic, but it’s better than average. There are some good holes!
