HERSHEY COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Hershey, PA, USA
Designed by George Fazio
Hershey Country Club's East Course whispers of a bygone era, its championship pedigree intertwined with Milton Hershey's vision for a recreational paradise. Routed through the rolling hills just beyond Chocolate Avenue, this classic parkland layout favors strategic play over brute force. While not widely celebrated on a global scale, it is regionally respected.
Designed by Maurice McCarthy, with significant refinements by George Fazio, the East Course presents a fair test that rewards thoughtful approaches. Its generous fairways are offset by subtly contoured greens and strategically placed bunkers that penalize overly aggressive lines. A slight preference may be discerned for players who can shape the ball right-to-left, navigating the gentle doglegs that characterize many holes.
Beyond the course itself, Hershey East cultivates a down-to-earth atmosphere where both serious golfers and casual players feel at home. In keeping with the club's history, you can also find a few of its employees living on the property in a few different houses.
Reviews
Great course, very open. Difficult but fun par 3’s. One of the best practice areas I’ve been too. Huge pro shop. Would definitely recommend playing if in the area or booking if going to Hershey.
Great course with awesome staff
