THE GOLF CLUB OF DUBLIN
🇺🇸 Dublin, OH, USA
Designed by Dana Fry, Dr. Michael Hurdzan

The Golf Club of Dublin occupies rolling terrain in Dublin, Ohio, a suburb northwest of Columbus. Designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry and opened in the late 1990s, the course reflects the partnership's characteristic attention to strategic variety and naturalistic presentation. Hurdzan, an Ohio native with a doctorate in turfgrass science, and Fry, his longtime design associate, have built a reputation for courses that balance playability with thoughtful challenge, and Dublin exemplifies this approach within a residential community setting.
The routing moves across moderately undulating land with mature tree corridors framing many holes. Water features appear on several holes, and the design incorporates both open and wooded sections, creating shifts in character throughout the round. Bunkering is strategic rather than penal, and green complexes offer a range of contours that reward precision on approach shots. The course measures over 7,000 yards from the championship tees, providing length for accomplished players while offering forward tee options that make the layout accessible to a broader membership.
The Golf Club of Dublin serves as a private club with a focus on golf and family-oriented amenities. The facility includes practice areas and a clubhouse that supports member dining and social activities. The course has hosted regional amateur competitions, reinforcing its role within Ohio's golf community. Conditioning standards remain high, consistent with the expectations of a modern private club in the Columbus metropolitan area.
Reviews
I think this might be the most overrated and overpriced course in all of Columbus. The course itself isn’t bad but the pace of play is so slow and the price can exceed $100 on weekends which I don’t think it’s worth.
Unique mix of Irish Links and American Parkland design. Penalizing fescue and water lining just about every hole, with large receptive greens that reward shot placement. Top-tier conditions
