DRUIDS GLEN GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Covington, WA, USA
Designed by Keith Foster
Druids Glen occupies a wooded site in Covington, Washington, southeast of Seattle in the Cascade foothills. Keith Foster designed the course, which opened in the late 1990s as part of a residential community development. Foster, known for his restoration work on classic American courses and for designs that emphasize strategic variety and playability across skill levels, routed the layout through second-growth forest and rolling terrain typical of the region.
The course moves through corridors of Douglas fir and cedar, with elevation changes that create both uphill and downhill approaches. Water features appear on several holes, and Foster incorporated bunker complexes that reward accurate positioning while offering recovery options for higher-handicap players. The property's natural drainage and tree cover give the course a secluded character, with individual holes framed by dense vegetation. Greens feature moderate contour, and the design emphasizes ground game options where the terrain allows.
Druids Glen serves a membership drawn largely from the surrounding residential community and the greater Seattle metropolitan area. The club operates as a semi-private facility, with tee times available to outside play. The course hosts regional amateur events and club competitions throughout the season. Conditions vary with the Pacific Northwest climate, with the layout playing firm and fast during summer months and softer during the extended rainy season from fall through spring.
