Golf d'Opio Valbonne sits in the hills above the French Riviera between Grasse and Valbonne, roughly fifteen kilometers inland from Cannes. The course occupies terrain characteristic of the Alpes-Maritimes backcountry, with elevation changes, natural vegetation including pine and oak, and views across the Provençal landscape. Robert Berthet and Donald Harradine designed the layout, which opened in the 1960s during a period when golf development expanded along the Côte d'Azur to serve both local members and the region's international visitors.
