EAGLE'S LANDING COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Stockbridge, GA, USA
Designed by Tom Fazio
Eagle's Landing Country Club sits in Stockbridge, Georgia, approximately twenty miles south of Atlanta. Tom Fazio designed the facility, which opened in the mid-1990s as part of a residential community development. The property features thirty-six holes divided into two eighteens: the Creek nine and Lake nine can be combined with a third nine (the Bluff) in different rotations, with Creek/Lake forming one of the standard pairings.
The terrain in this part of Georgia provides rolling topography with mature hardwoods and pines. Fazio's routing takes advantage of natural elevation changes and incorporates water features throughout both nines. The Creek nine derives its name from stream corridors that influence several holes, while the Lake nine features larger bodies of water that come into play on approach shots and around greens. Bunkering follows Fazio's characteristic style with sculpted white sand and strategic placement to frame landing areas and green complexes.
Eagle's Landing has hosted regional amateur competitions and serves as a private club with an active membership. The course conditioning and presentation reflect the standards typical of upscale Atlanta-area clubs. The layout provides a solid test from the back tees while offering multiple tee boxes to accommodate different skill levels. The combination of water hazards, elevation change, and tree-lined fairways requires course management and shot variety throughout the round.
