COYOTE SPRINGS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Coyote Springs, NV, USA
Designed by Jack Nicklaus

Coyote Springs whispers of what could have been, a testament to grand ambitions etched into the Nevada desert landscape northeast of Las Vegas. This modern layout, the first of several courses envisioned for the area, stretches across the sandy expanses with few trees and some native grasses. With little else to disturb the horizon, it is a place where the wind is a prominent factor in the day and is the key to scoring well on the course.
Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the course presents a stark contrast to the lush fairways more commonly associated with the Golden Bear. Wide fairways here belie the challenge, as strategic bunkering and undulating greens demand a calculated approach. Errant shots are often penalized severely, though the openness off the tee promotes aggressive play for long hitters who want to take it on.
While the ambitious plans for Coyote Springs never fully materialized, the existing course stands as a challenging and visually striking experience. Its remote location, coupled with the vastness of the surrounding desert, provides a sense of isolation and escape.
