CINCINNATI COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Cincinnati, OH, USA
Designed by Robert White

Cincinnati Country Club is steeped in local lore, a sanctuary for generations of Cincinnati families drawn to its understated elegance. Carved into the rolling hills of Indian Hill, the parkland course presents a classic, tree-lined challenge where strategic positioning trumps raw power. The fairways offer ample landing areas, but approach shots demand careful consideration of the subtly contoured greens and strategically placed bunkers. Doglegs abound, testing the player's ability to shape shots and navigate the terrain.
Designed by Herbert Strong in the early 20th century during golf's Golden Age, Cincinnati Country Club has seen a few modern nips and tucks to keep it relevant for today's game, but nothing so dramatic that it would strip away its old-school charm. The course is a traditional, players layout with the greens being it's truest defense.
Cincinnati Country Club's reputation is maintained, for the most part, amongst the well-heeled and well-connected across the Queen City. While it hasn't hosted a national championship, the club's social calendar and active membership ensure a vibrant atmosphere, whether on the course, the tennis courts, or gathered at the storied clubhouse.
Reviews
I played the course before the renovations many times. Not a huge fan of the lay out but fun and ca be challenging depending on ball position.
