CHEROKEE HILLS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Catoosa, OK, USA
Designed by Perry Maxwell, Tripp Davis

Cherokee Hills at Cherokee Hills Golf Club is where Oklahoma golf found its footing. Carved into the rolling terrain just east of Tulsa in Catoosa, the course embodies a classic, player-friendly experience with a touch of old-school charm.
Originally designed with the weekend player in mind, Cherokee Hills is a parkland layout that prioritizes playability over penal difficulty. Mature trees line generous fairways, encouraging confident swings, while subtly contoured greens reward thoughtful approach shots. The course favors a draw, demanding a strategic approach rather than brute force.
While Cherokee Hills has not hosted major championships, its enduring appeal lies in its accessibility and community spirit. The clubhouse is known for its simple, honest fare. While lacking a signature dish, it boasts a convivial atmosphere where post-round stories are shared as easily as cold beers. The membership consists of locals who consider the course an extension of their backyard, a place where the pace is relaxed, and the competition is friendly.
