LAMBTON GOLF & COUNTRY CLUB
🇨🇦 Toronto, Ontario, CA
Designed by Rees Jones

Lambton Golf & Country Club, nestled in the heart of York, is a testament to enduring Golden Age design. Routed across rolling terrain dotted with mature trees, this parkland course, originally conceived by Walter Travis, subtly challenges golfers with its strategic bunkering and deceptively contoured greens. The course favors those who can shape the ball, requiring creativity and strategic thinking more than raw power.
A significant renovation by Robbie Robinson honored Travis's vision while subtly modernizing the playing experience. Lambton has hosted the Canadian Open on multiple occasions, challenging legends like Sam Snead and Tommy Armour and solidifying its place in Canadian golf history.
While not necessarily globally renowned, Lambton holds a special place in the Toronto golfing community. The club possesses a loyal and engaged membership, known for their relaxed atmosphere and love of the game. A testament to this is their reputation for a particularly well-made club sandwich, a staple often enjoyed after a round, solidifying Lambton as a place of both competitive golf and comfortable camaraderie.
