HURSTBOURNE COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Louisville, KY, USA
Designed by Arthur Hills, Keith Foster

Hurstbourne Country Club, nestled in the established Louisville neighborhood of the same name, represents a classic, member-driven experience, less about chasing rankings and more about fostering a thriving community. The course unfolds across gentle, rolling parkland, its terrain reminiscent of the Bluegrass region’s horse farms. Mature trees line generous fairways, demanding strategic positioning rather than brute length. The course plays fair, but be warned the greens are undulating and receptive to approach shots.
The original design bears the mark of Ben Wihry, but it’s been subtly enhanced over the years, honoring the initial vision while incorporating modern agronomic practices.
The membership reflects the comfortable sophistication of the area, a mix of established Louisville families and business leaders who appreciate a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. It’s a place where a handshake means more than a scorecard, and where the stories shared over post-round drinks hold as much value as the birdies made on the course.
