COLORADO GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Parker, CO, USA
Designed by Ben Crenshaw, Bill Coore

Championship at Colorado Golf Club, carved into the rolling hills of Parker, Colorado, carries the weight of modern championship pedigree. This course, a testament to contemporary design principles, unfolds across a vast expanse of native grasses and dramatic elevation changes. Here, length and strategic bunkering define the challenge.
Designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, the course presents a demanding, yet visually stunning, playing field. Its fairways, generous in width, belie the need for precise approach shots into meticulously crafted greens. The undulating terrain and often-fierce winds of the high prairie demand a keen understanding of distance control and shot shaping, favoring those who can navigate both the ground game and the aerial assault.
The club secured its place in golfing history when it hosted the 2010 Senior PGA Championship, a testament to the layout's ability to test the game's best. While not steeped in decades of lore, the club, though relatively young, has swiftly become a respected venue and established itself among the golfing landscape of the Centennial State. Its membership values a rigorous test of golf in a setting that celebrates the rugged beauty of the Colorado landscape.
Reviews
Challenging lay out but very playable and fun for good players. The course plays firm and fast and playing conditions are excellent. The design, as with a lot of Coore & Crenshaw courses, is all about width and angles. Understanding what line to take off the tee in order to give the optimal approach is key. You’ll find yourself playing to front yardages and playing away from flags to get the ball close to the hole and to me, that’s what makes golf fun. Truly a course I could never tire of playing. If you add in the clubhouse, locker room bar and everything else that Colorado Golf Club offers, it must be one of the best memberships in America.
Always in great shape and coore Crenshaw are at their best here. I enjoy the set of par threes and fives on this track.
I’m not sure why more people don’t consider the is course at the top of their lists. Coore and Crenshaw built a mountain masterpiece. Layout is fantastic and provides all sorts of risk reward opportunities. The green complexes are fanatic as is the conditioning. Very enjoyable walk which is unusual for a mountain course. Facilities are superb.
True hidden gem. One of the best in the state. Championship test that requires thought on every hole.
Greens were 13.5 and it was blowing 30 when I playdd
A lovely C&C design - like a hybrid between San Valley and Bandon Trails with a Ponderosa vibe. Club and facilities are top notch. It feels like you’re in an episode of Billions.
