CAMP CREEK GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Panama City Beach, FL, USA
Designed by Tom Fazio

Camp Creek Golf Club, a fixture of Panama City Beach, carries the distinction of being Tom Fazio's only public design in Florida, a subtle reminder of its accessibility amidst a sea of exclusive clubs. Built in the modern era, the course unfolds across gently rolling terrain, a stark contrast to the flat coastal plains more commonly associated with the region. Generous fairways give way to subtly contoured greens, a characteristic that often favors a strategic approach over brute force.
While Camp Creek hasn't etched its name in major championship lore, it provides a stern test for golfers of all abilities. The layout is known for its demanding par-3s and well-placed bunkers, rewarding thoughtful play and punishing errant shots. Many describe the course as a "second-shot" course, emphasizing the need for precise iron play to navigate its undulating surfaces.
Camp Creek maintains a strong regional presence as a championship level course, but it is also a valued host of amateur and local tournaments. The club fosters a relaxed atmosphere where members and guests are encouraged to enjoy the camaraderie of the game, with an emphasis on accessible luxury and a welcoming spirit. The clubhouse porch, with its panoramic views of the 18th green, is a popular gathering spot to recount the day's rounds - a place where good stories and good company abound.
Reviews
I find camp creek to be one of the toughest courses in the Florida panhandle. This course is almost always in great shape. Tons of water comes into play and the green complexes are absolutely massive with multiple tiers and are extremely undulating. Can lead to a few three putts if you aren’t hitting it on the correct tier.
Hidden gem. Best course along 30A
