Buzzard’s Nest at Hinckley Hills Golf Course

Buzzards Nest at Hinckley Hills Golf Course occupies land in northeastern Ohio's Medina County, where the community of Hinckley sits within the broader Cleveland metropolitan area. Harold Paddock designed the course, contributing to the region's mid-twentieth-century golf development during a period when many public facilities were established to serve growing suburban populations. The course takes its name from the area's connection to turkey vultures, commonly called buzzards, which have made Hinckley famous for their annual spring return—a natural phenomenon celebrated locally since the early nineteenth century.
