Brooktrails (Alternate Tees) at Brooktrails Golf Course

Brooktrails Golf Course sits in the forested hills above Willits in Mendocino County, roughly twenty miles north of Ukiah along Highway 101. Designed by Robert Muir Graves and opened in the 1970s, the course serves the residential community of Brooktrails, a development carved into the wooded terrain of California's North Coast interior. Graves, a prolific Northern California architect who designed or remodeled more than fifty courses during his career, worked extensively in the region and understood how to route golf through the area's characteristic pine and fir forests.
