Brighton Lakes Recreation & Golf Club sits in the southwestern Sydney suburb of Moorebank, approximately twenty kilometers from the city center. Designed by Bob Harrison and opened in the mid-1990s, the course occupies relatively flat terrain typical of the Cumberland Plain, with mature tree plantings and several water features integrated into the layout. The facility operates as a public-access course serving the broader Sydney metropolitan area.

The design makes strategic use of lakes and wetlands across the property, bringing water into play on multiple holes and adding both visual definition and tactical considerations to what might otherwise be straightforward parkland golf. Harrison's routing works within the site's natural constraints, incorporating stands of eucalyptus and other native vegetation alongside more manicured playing corridors. The course measures around 5,800 to 6,000 meters from the back tees, offering a layout accessible to recreational players while still presenting challenge through water hazards and greenside bunkering.
