Steel's design reflects his preference for strategic variety over forced heroics, routing the course to incorporate the property's existing contours and vegetation. The front nine moves through denser woodland sections where accuracy off the tee becomes essential, while the back nine opens up across more exposed ground with greater emphasis on wind and ground game options. Water features appear on several holes, integrated into the resort landscape rather than dominating play.

The course serves as the centerpiece of a residential and leisure resort that includes contemporary villa accommodations and spa facilities. The property attracts a mix of resort guests and visiting golfers exploring Portugal's Silver Coast golf corridor, which extends from Lisbon north through Estremadura.
