NORTH SHORE COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Mequon, WI, USA
Designed by David Gill

North Shore Country Club occupies rolling terrain in Mequon, a northern suburb of Milwaukee along the western shore of Lake Michigan. The club was established in the 1920s, and its Blue/White eighteen-hole combination represents one of several routing options available across the property. David Gill, a regional architect active in the upper Midwest during the mid-twentieth century, designed the course. His work here reflects the era's emphasis on strategic bunkering and greens that reward accurate approach play.
The property features mature tree-lined fairways and elevation changes characteristic of southeastern Wisconsin's glacial topography. The routing moves through wooded corridors and more open stretches, with several holes playing along natural ridges and valleys. Greens tend toward moderate size with subtle internal contours, and fairway bunkers are positioned to challenge both tee shots and layup decisions on longer holes.
North Shore has served as a venue for Wisconsin State Golf Association championships and other regional amateur competitions over the decades. The club maintains a traditional private membership and operates as a family-oriented facility with an active junior program. The clubhouse and grounds reflect the club's nearly century-long presence in the Mequon community, and the course remains a fixture in Milwaukee-area golf circles.
