Blue Mound is a Seth Raynor design so if you geek out over template greens you will love it here. I am not one of those people. This is one of the highest regarded private clubs in WI and it does not disappoint. The conditions are top notch. The opening holes play along a mall parking lot and busy road so kind of loud. The rest of the course is more quiet. The hole layouts are pretty straight forward since the greens are the feature of the course. The course is very gettable and I have had some very good rounds there. The area behind the clubhouse that links 9 green and 10 tee with grass mowed to fairway height is so cool. Always a treat to play at Blue Mound since it is unique in WI
I haven’t played here since caddying back in the early’90’s. It was always such a great course and I’m sure it still is even though I doubt I’ll ever get a chance to play it again.
Blue Mound is such a classic golden age course. Seth Raynor shines and some of his best templates are on display. Despite being short in comparison to other courses in Milwaukee, a round at Blue Mound keeps me smiling all day.
Totally Raynor gem. Template holes galore and I couldn’t get enough. Played this right before MCC the next day and fun to compare. BM is more relaxed, super friendly and welcoming membership, and the members are really proud of their course and excited to share it. Worth going out of your way for this one.

Blue Mound is an underrated Raynor design. Greens were fast and firm. The template holes were great. A lot of interesting and unique holes that draw your eyes to one thing and ask another with your shot. You can make a lot of birdies and make a lot of large numbers as well. Lipped out for eagle on 18 to end the day but loved every minute of my round. I would highly recommend.
Blue Mound in the summertime is nearly unrivaled. Conditioned immaculately with a classic Raynor design that has held up greatly. A blast of a walk, with great sight lines all around.
