BLESSINGS GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Fayetteville, AR, USA
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.

The Blessings Golf Club opened in 2004 on the campus of the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The course was commissioned by John and Johnelle Hunt and gifted to the university, serving as the home facility for the Arkansas Razorbacks men's and women's golf programs. The name reflects the donors' intent to create a blessing for the university and its student-athletes. The layout occupies rolling terrain in the Ozark foothills, with significant elevation changes throughout the routing that take advantage of the natural topography.
Jones routed the course across varied landscape that includes wooded corridors, open meadow areas, and dramatic elevation shifts. The design features strategic bunkering and water hazards that come into play on several holes, with greens that incorporate subtle to bold contours. The property's natural beauty and the architect's use of the terrain create a layout that demands both course management and shot-making skill from players at all levels.
As a university-owned facility, The Blessings serves primarily as a competitive venue and practice facility for Arkansas golf teams, though it also accommodates limited outside play. The course has hosted NCAA regional championships and other collegiate events, providing a championship-caliber home course advantage for Razorback golfers. The facility includes practice areas and amenities designed to support a Division I golf program while maintaining the character of a private club setting.
Reviews
Every shot demands your full attention. If you aren’t getting off the tee, you’re in for a long day. The yardages you see on sprinklers and markings are to the front of the green, not to the middle, making it important to grab a pin sheet. Like many courses with fast greens, if you’re above the hole, hope you have great touch. Missing the greens in the right spot is key, or else 20 feet on the chip is a good result.
