BIDERMANN GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Wilmington, DE, USA
Designed by Dick Wilson
Bidermann Golf Club, nestled amid the rolling landscapes of Wilmington, Delaware, has long been a private sanctuary where generations have honed their games away from the spotlight. It is a retreat, and a test for the mid-handicap player.
Crafted during the mid-20th century, Bidermann presents a classic parkland layout that meanders through mature deciduous trees and gentle hills. The course is not overly long, and doesn’t demand tour-level distance but instead rewards strategic play and a deft touch around the greens. Favoring a draw, this course will challenge you if you are a natural fader of the ball. While not known for hosting major championships, Bidermann is a beloved venue for regional and member competitions.
The original design bears the mark of a respected, though not widely celebrated, architect of the era, one who prioritized playability and natural integration with the existing landscape. The club has remained largely unchanged since its inception. It remains a favorite of those who value a traditional golfing experience above all else.
Reviews
This is golf at it’s finest. Rarely see any groups playing as it’s a small membership with some of the best conditioning in the country. Layout is fun with variety and recently restored to keep up with modern era distances.
