BERKSHIRE COUNTRY CLUB
🇺🇸 Reading, PA, USA
Designed by Willie Park Jr.

Berkshire Country Club, nestled in the rolling hills outside of Reading, Pennsylvania, is a course steeped in local tradition, where generations have honed their games against a classic layout. The course itself meanders through mature, parkland terrain, requiring strategic play and rewarding thoughtful course management.
Originally designed in the early 1920s, Berkshire reflects the architectural sensibilities of that era, with gently undulating fairways and subtly contoured greens. While not a championship venue, Berkshire has remained a beloved cornerstone of the region’s golfing landscape, prized for its playability and timeless charm.
Known locally as a place for friendly, competitive golf, Berkshire Country Club fostered a particularly strong women’s golf association which remains active and vibrant to this day. It is said that the club’s signature crab cakes, served at the clubhouse since its inception, are almost as legendary as some of the matches played across its grounds.
Reviews
Really nice, just not anything to write home about for the course itself
