BELLA VISTA GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Gilbertsville, PA, USA
Designed by Jim Blaukovitch
Bella Vista Golf Club sits in Gilbertsville, a small community in Montgomery County in southeastern Pennsylvania, roughly forty miles northwest of Philadelphia. The course was designed by Jim Blaukovitch, a regional architect who has worked primarily in Pennsylvania and neighboring mid-Atlantic states since the latter decades of the twentieth century. Blaukovitch's designs typically emphasize playability for a range of skill levels while working within the natural contours and vegetation of their sites.
The Gilbertsville area occupies rolling terrain characteristic of the Piedmont region, where gentle hills and wooded corridors define the landscape. Courses in this part of Pennsylvania generally feature tree-lined fairways, modest elevation changes, and seasonal variety in playing conditions. Bella Vista likely reflects these regional traits, with routing that follows the land's natural movement and incorporates mature trees and water features where the topography allows.
As a club serving the northern Philadelphia suburbs and the Pottstown area, Bella Vista functions as a community golf facility, offering members and guests a straightforward layout suited to regular play. The course provides a local option for golfers seeking accessible conditions and a setting removed from urban density, typical of many clubs established in Pennsylvania's suburban and exurban corridors during periods of residential growth. The club's role centers on recreational golf and social activity rather than tournament competition or national recognition.
Reviews
Best part of the course is far and away the island green hole. Pricier course for what it is worth but it is well kept and fun. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Wide fairways.
