BALI HAI GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Las Vegas, NV, USA
Designed by Brian Curley, Lee E. Schmidt

Bali Hai Golf Club delivers a slice of South Pacific paradise just off the pulsating Las Vegas Strip, a vibrant anomaly in the desert landscape. This modern course, opened in 2000, presents a striking contrast to its surroundings. Picture swaying palms, shimmering lagoons, and lush tropical foliage that instantly transports you far from the Nevada desert, creating an unexpected oasis that serves up an enjoyable day for both novices and experts alike.
Designed by Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt, Bali Hai doesn’t offer the strategic demands of a links course or the rugged challenge of a desert layout. Instead, it's known for its playability, its wide fairways and inviting greens welcome golfers of all skill levels. Water comes into play on several holes, adding visual appeal and a touch of strategic consideration, while the black volcanic rock outcroppings contribute to the overall exotic aesthetic. Though it hasn't hosted major championships, Bali Hai is popular among those seeking an accessible and scenic golf experience during their Vegas getaway.
Beyond the golf itself, Bali Hai offers a dose of Vegas showmanship. Its themed landscaping and Polynesian-inspired clubhouse contribute to an overall atmosphere of escapism. While it may not boast the storied history or architectural significance of some of the nation's most revered courses, it offers a unique and memorable golf experience defined by its vibrant setting and accessible layout.
Bali Hai distinguishes itself as a refreshing alternative to the more demanding desert courses in the region, providing a laid-back and visually stunning golfing experience that embraces the spirit of Las Vegas: entertainment and indulgence.
Reviews
Painted fairways made more out of divot mix than grass. Get the feeling this place was nice 20 years ago and they just decided to coast from there.
Look, you’re not going to Las Vegas for golf but you could do a lot worse than this place. They’ll never host a U.S. Open, but it’s fun. Don’t be afraid to call the golf shop if you get stuck behind a bad foursome, which we did twice.
