ARROWHEAD GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Littleton, CO, USA
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.
Arrowhead Golf Club, carved into the dramatic red rock formations south of Denver, is where Colorado's Front Range meets championship golf. The club embraces its role as a challenging yet accessible layout for players of all abilities.
Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., Arrowhead presents a modern take on desert golf, albeit with a distinctly Colorado feel. The routing twists through towering sandstone spires, demanding strategic play and rewarding thoughtful club selection. Fairways are generous but deceptive, and the undulating greens put a premium on precise approach shots. While not on the regular professional tour circuit, Arrowhead has played host to numerous state amateur championships, testing the mettle of Colorado's top players.
Arrowhead, while relatively young compared to some of the country’s golfing institutions, enjoys a strong regional reputation and a loyal membership drawn to its unique setting and challenging design. The 13th hole, a par-3 framed by a massive rock outcropping, is a particular favorite—often the subject of friendly wagers and boasting rights at the clubhouse afterward.
Reviews
We saw a black bear and her cubs
A course with very split reviews. I loved it. I like golf with great views, and Arrowhead delivers. The course design is good, not great, but not horrible. Bunkers were terrible when I played, but that wasn't a deal breaker for me. I do agree with others that this course is overpriced; you're paying for the land and views. If I were a Denver local, I would not play here. As an out-of-towner, I belive it's worth a visit at least once.
Overpriced. Just go on a hike if you want good views and play a muni after.
Amazing scenery but get ready for a 5 hour round
Incredible views but otherwise overrated. Don't play in the morning or the winds will blow you off the course. Greens are comically fast and sloped. Overplayed so pace of play is slow. Driving range is only 185 yards.
