ANTLER CREEK GOLF CLUB
🇺🇸 Peyton, CO, USA
Designed by Rick Phelps

Antler Creek Golf Club sits in Peyton, a small community northeast of Colorado Springs on Colorado's Front Range. Designed by Rick Phelps and opened in the mid-1990s, the course occupies rolling prairie terrain characteristic of the transition zone between the high plains and the foothills of the Rockies. The property offers views westward toward Pikes Peak and the mountain backdrop that defines this part of El Paso County.
The routing works across natural elevation changes and incorporates the native grasses and scrubland vegetation typical of the region. Phelps, a Colorado-based architect who has designed several courses along the Front Range, shaped the layout to accommodate the prevailing winds that sweep across the open landscape. The design reflects a straightforward approach suited to the climate and terrain, with wide fairways and generous landing areas that account for the firm, fast conditions common at this elevation.
Antler Creek serves the communities east of Colorado Springs and the military population from nearby installations. The course operates as a public facility and provides a high-altitude golf experience—the elevation exceeds 6,500 feet—where distance plays differently and the dry air and sunshine are constants through much of the season. The setting remains largely undeveloped, preserving the open character of the Colorado prairie.
Reviews
Could be great if it was in better shape. But it’s in truly awful shape
