Annbriar, carved from the rolling farmland of southern Illinois near Waterloo, stands as a testament to a family's vision of bringing championship-caliber golf to their community. Designed by architect Gary Kern, the course unfolds across a landscape of gentle hills and mature hardwoods, a refreshing change from the flat prairie land often associated with the region.
While Annbriar is not on any “best of” lists, it is known for being a fair and challenging course with generous fairways and meticulously maintained greens. The layout features strategically placed bunkers and subtle elevation changes that reward thoughtful play. The course favors players who can work the ball both ways, as several holes feature strategically placed doglegs.
Annbriar holds a special place in the hearts of local golfers, and its club has a tightly knit membership known for it's casual nature and love for the game. Regular tournaments and events foster a strong sense of camaraderie.

Fine course in most all aspects. Maybe just a bit too modern (read 90’s) for my taste. I was surprised they let me walk it. The back nine is a HIKE!

Worth the drive amazing track in the STL area. Will say it’s pretty hard to find tee times atm
