Warren Dickenson

Warren Dickenson was an American golf course architect active primarily in Iowa during the early-to-mid 20th century. His work centered on designing accessible municipal and daily-fee layouts that brought quality golf to regional communities.

Dickenson's best-known project is Brooks Golf Club in Okoboji, Iowa, where he designed multiple courses and course combinations for the facility. These include the Val Brooks, Scot's Links, and Mounds courses, as well as various routing combinations that allowed the club to offer different playing experiences. His thoughtful use of the Iowa lakeland terrain helped establish Brooks as a notable Midwest golf destination.

He also designed Waveland Municipal Golf Club in Des Moines, Iowa, a public course that continues to serve the capital city's golfers. Dickenson's designs reflected a practical, player-friendly philosophy suited to the landscape and climate of the upper Midwest.
