Theodore J. Moreau was a productive American golf course architect whose work concentrated in the Midwest during the mid-20th century. His portfolio spans Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, and neighboring states, featuring classic parkland designs at private clubs. Among his most highly regarded courses are the Red/Blue combination at Butterfield Country Club in Oak Brook, Illinois, Ozaukee Country Club in Mequon, Wisconsin, and Happy Hollow Club in Omaha, Nebraska.

Moreau's designs are characterized by their straightforward routing and strategic use of natural terrain. His work at Butterfield Country Club is particularly notable, where he created multiple 18-hole combinations from 27 holes, all of which remain in play today. Other significant designs include Ruth Lake Country Club in Hinsdale, Illinois, and Blythefield Country Club in Belmont, Michigan, demonstrating his ability to craft engaging layouts across diverse Midwestern landscapes.
