Kurt Rossknecht

Kurt Rossknecht is a prolific German golf course architect whose career has left an indelible mark across Central Europe, with a concentrated body of work in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. His portfolio reflects a remarkably productive output, encompassing many major resort complexes, championship-caliber courses, and versatile multi-loop layouts that provide wide-ranging challenges for all skill levels.

Rossknecht's work is especially evident in Germany's spa resort communities. At Golf Resort Bad Griesbach, he designed Brunnwies, St. Wolfgang Uttlau, and Engled, as well as the Chervo Junior Par 3 and Pfeiffer and Jagl Par 3 layouts. Other prominent German designs include championship courses at Golfclub München Eichenried, Golfanlage Schloss Egmating, Golf Resort Adendorf, and the Hartl Resort's Audi and Beckenbauer courses. Among his Swiss contributions are Golfpark Otelfingen (championship, Champion, and Academy courses), Golfclub Sempachersee (Lakeside and Woodside courses), and Golfpark Moossee. His international reach extends to Mallorca, Spain, where he created Arabella Son Vida, Son Quint, and Son Muntaner.

Rossknecht's design philosophy favors flexible, multifaceted golf complexes that accommodate both tournament play and recreational enjoyment—demonstrated in his numerous 6-, 9-, and 18-hole combinations at facilities such as Golf Park Waldkirch and Golfclub Lipperswil.
