John Jacobs

John Jacobs built a diverse portfolio of golf courses across Britain, Europe, and Asia, working primarily on accessible public and resort layouts. His designs span England, Wales, Ireland, France, Spain, and China, reflecting a practice focused on variety rather than a single signature region or style.

In the UK, his work includes courses such as Buckinghamshire Golf Club, Chartridge Park, and the Edinburgh course at Wentworth Club in Surrey. He also designed golf centers like Hoebridge and Wycombe Heights, complete with par-3 layouts and practice facilities. Remedy Oak in Dorset and Patshull Park in Shropshire represent further English projects, while Northop in Wales and Rathfarnham in Ireland extend his reach across the British Isles.
