Fred Couples is best known as a World Golf Hall of Fame professional golfer who won the 1992 Masters Tournament and reached World No. 1 during his PGA Tour career. Nicknamed "Boom Boom" for his powerful, accurate driving, Couples won 64 professional tournaments including two Players Championships and multiple senior majors. Beyond his playing career, he has lent his name and design input to a portfolio of golf courses across North America and beyond.
His design work includes courses such as Royal Oaks Country Club in Houston, Twin Creeks Country Club in Cedar Park, Texas, and Kelly Plantation Golf Club in Destin, Florida. At Carolina National Golf Club in Bolivia, North Carolina, Couples contributed to multiple layouts including the Heron, Ibis, and Egret courses.
