Clive Clark

Clive Clark is an English professional golfer turned golf course architect, born in 1945. After his competitive playing career, he transitioned into course design and broadcasting, building a substantial portfolio primarily across the United Kingdom with select projects in the United States and continental Europe.

Clark's design work spans a wide range of facilities, from resort courses to member clubs. In England, his portfolio includes Pyrford Lakes and Hurtmore in Surrey, Aston Wood in the West Midlands, and The Manor House at Castle Combe in Wiltshire. He designed the Melbourne Course at Brocket Hall and both 18-hole and par-3 layouts at Mill Green in Hertfordshire. His multi-course Woodspring Golf and Country Club in Somerset features three nines (Avon, Brunel, and Severn) that can be combined in various routings.

In the United States, Clark's work includes Belgrade Lakes in Maine, the Celebrity Course at Indian Wells Golf Resort in California, and Lake Winnepausakee in New Hampshire. International designs include layouts at Alcaidesa Links in Spain and Golf Château de la Tournette in Belgium, demonstrating his versatility across different climates and terrain.
