Chic Adams

Chic Adams was an American golf course architect whose work spanned multiple decades across the United States, with a notable concentration in the Southeast and Midwest. His portfolio includes a diverse range of facilities, from full-length country club layouts to executive nine-hole courses designed for recreational play.

Among his credited designs are Valleybrook Golf & Country Club in Tennessee, Diamond Hill Golf Club in Florida, and Fairlawn Golf Club in Maine. Adams also worked on several projects in Florida including Seminole Lake Country Club and multiple courses at On Top of the World Golf Club in Clearwater. His geographic reach extended from the Northeast to the Deep South, with additional work at Scenic Hills Country Club in Pensacola, Heron Lakes Country Club in Mobile, and The Links at Fox Meadows in Memphis.

His designs reflect the practical needs of their respective communities, encompassing traditional country club layouts alongside more compact executive courses that made golf accessible to a broader range of players.
