Arthur Fenn

Arthur Fenn was an early American golf course architect active in New England during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Working primarily across the northeastern United States, Fenn contributed to the development of golf in the region during the sport's formative years in America.

His portfolio includes several courses that helped establish golf culture in New England. Among his designs are Abenaqui Country Club in Rye Beach, New Hampshire, and the Country Club of Farmington in Connecticut. Fenn also designed The Links at Poland Spring in Maine and Profile Golf Club in Franconia, New Hampshire, demonstrating his experience with the varied terrain and climates of the region.

Fenn's courses reflect the early American approach to golf design, shaped by both the natural landscape and the evolving understanding of strategic play during golf's expansion beyond Scotland and England.
